Hi folks!

I was offered some quite reasonably priced 30% Nitro fuel (CP, unopened gallons) which has been stored for 18 months in a moderately temperated basement.

Do you expect any loss of quality?
To what extent does the hygroscopic effect of methanole de facto badly influences the quality or is that negliglible after that period of time?
Of course one can find some single reports from users but unfortunately no official word from the manufacturers.

What are your expiriences/estimations?

Many thanks for commenting on this issue!

I bought a case of coolpower 15% from a guy who had it in his basement for what he thought was about 2 years. Was probably another year or so before I used it and was no problem for me.

Fuel goes bad when the methanol inside attracts moisture from the air. So long as the fuel is not open, then moisture cannot get inside. Your fuel should be fine.
