I would try the USPS website. They should have rates posted there. Cost would not be much around $8-$10 at most using the cheapest shipping option.

Don't use UPS or FedEx unless you verify that the shipment method INCLUDES the brokerage fee. USPS is always good.

I have used USPS before shipping to Canada with some success

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I only buy from the US if the following conditions are met

item is listed as value less than 100$
is sent by USPS with a tracking #

if it gets sent by courier it is returned promptly as I won't pay for broker fees or Duty

both fees combined can cost more then a 100$

generaly it cost 35 - 50$ to ship for a nitro heli

oops re-read post for the 2 in 1 your looking at about 10$

Shipping to canada can be a pain especially if you pay the fees . Sometimes you spend more to ship than you charge for the item

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

You can always find most expensive way to ship. Shipping to Canada if done right, costs about the same as in US. Sometimes less. For small items at least. Let's say for size of Tx or assembled 300 size heli. I did not try bigger stuff.

Everytime, I suggest to shipper to cover shipping expence, if it is more then in US. I never had to, because price was the same.

I have bought my whole fleet, plus any support equuipment, and all parts needed from RR members in the U.S.
The most important thing to remember is: under no circumstances should you use ANY courier other than U.S.P.S.!!
For the 2 in 1 the best way to ship is one of those "flat rate envelopes. They're padded, and cost the same rate no matter where shipped. It should cost about $6.00 or so.
The best way (cheapest way) to get a tracking # is to add "extra" insurance on the envelope. It will come with $100 insurance automatically. You get an automatic tracking # when you purchase an additional $100 insurance for the cost of $1.00 per $100 insurance.
ALWAYS list the part as "toy helicopter part" and value it at about $15.00., and call it a "gift"
This method will get it to Canada DUYT FREE! ALL other couriers will add a brokerage fee and render the deal not worth it!
The shipping will take 3days to 3 weeks! You MUST be patient.
When a tracking # is obtained it will work through the U.S.P.S. system until it crosses the border, at which time you use Canadian postal tracking. You CAN therefore track the package from it's origin all the way to confirmed delivery!
I always use this method. If the seller cannot comply, I do not purchase as it will be too expensive to ship, and ruin the good deal.
Hope this helps. Feel free to pm me with any questions.
John

Just curious, is there a cure for this addiction?

What you have to watch for is the US border patrol thugs searching the package's car with no prior warning to the package and then beating it up for asking what is happening...
