I have a need to take pics from an altitude near that for pictures that were taken from an airplane flying at a low altitude. I have not seen the pictures taken by the airplane yet and I'm not sure I could even come close to the altitude the customer wants but I'm going to see what I can do.

I guess I could fly as high as I can see the heli right? Maybe I could use binoculars mounted to a head strap or helmet. Has anyone tried this before or flown using just the downlink video? I don't think that will work.

I have a Trex 700E with an E50 mount.

you do realize that you are the very reason the FAA is looking to ground people like us. you are flying irresponsibly or asking how to fly irresponsibly. everyone knows that you are to stay under 400 feet. if i saw you operating unsafely i would report you immediately.

you are apparently operating with no idea how high you are flying (i.e. altimeter). please do us all a favor and either respect (at a MINIMUM) the AMA guidelines for RC aircraft or find another line of work.

this type of behavior makes us all look bad.

Use a wider angle lens to give the illusion of higher altitude?

No worries

I'm not going higher than I can see which is around 200 ft. I like the idea of a wider angle lens. I will propose these ideas. We're looking at getting some shots this week. We may just have to get them from a couple different locations to get the entire property. I really don't have any information on the size of the property yet.

Thanks for the great feedback.
