Is the power bus ok with 8717's and 8717HV's as some have reported that other systems can't cope with the current draw from these?

Did you run 200hz?

I'm very curious of this since I'm installing the BeastX in my friends heli who run those Hitech...

Let us know.

Hmm, I noticed with my BLS servos that they move rather roughly during collective changes. Not smooth at all. It only gets worse as you increase servo frequency. I hope they can update the firmware to smooth out the servo motion. What I'm seeing can be good for the servo. Maybe that is what caused your failure?

This is the First Time I Read of burned servos on a beastx unit. Even on the beastx forum there is not one report of burnt servos. So make sure your setup was correctly.
The rough movement in bls servos is known and will be corrected on the next update. I running my Futabas 9451 on 200 h and they don't even get warm.

Sure one Unit can fail, so just send it back , In the EU you have 2 years warranty.

I would think the first step is to return the MicroBeast for analysis. At present it is not 100% clear what (if anything) is wrong with it.
If it is established that there is a specific fault on your unit which has caused the problem then maybe BEASTX will discuss compensating you.
Even if it transpires that the MB is the cause of your blown servos I doubt there is any LEGAL requirement for BEASTX to compensate, though it would be good business to do so!

Anyway good luck, and let us know what happens.

I had a quick look but can't find anywhere where it specifies that the Hitec 5965 can be operated at 120Hz or 200Hz.
Nor does the Beastx manual give recommended settings for this servo.
Also what voltage was it operated at?

HiTec officially states to run all their servos (analog or digital) on 50 Hz, only.

Found on several Hitec official websites, e.g.

Align G3 also had servos burn not only once. So what ? Sometimes there is a problem. You did not even wait for Freakware to respond to your Problem. What about the other thousands that work great should they trow away their beast because YOU burnt your servos lmao! If it would be a big problem why don't others have it? I am Not sure but in the setup menu did you adjust your cyclic limits? If not the beast will use all the travel it will get in flight to keep the Heli on track even if this means binding the servos. I bet my butt that's what happend.

Regards Pete
