For my setup, what size/type of lipo would you recommend?
  • Futaba 12FGH radio set 2.4
  • 3x JR 8717's or the Align DS610's servos
  • BLS251 on tail
  • Spartan gyro
  • mulitgov pro
And what kind of charger would you recommend?

I need one that runs off the house power and 12V car battery for both home and field charging....can you recommend me one?

What heli are you flying? What motor? What ESC? Or is this a nitro heli and you're just looking for an electronics battery? If this is the case, buy a good quality battery like one from Outrage (HeliDirect). The size depends on how you will get your heli to balance. You need to put some test weights on the front of the heli with the tank half full and determine how large a battery you need to get the CG correct. Then order that battery.

As for a charger, the iCharger 208B is pretty nice. You can buy it from http://www.progressiverc.com I'm really happy with mine, and you can charge from home or from your car battery.

Heli is gonna be the new MA 90 that's coming to the market in summer 2010.

I think the motor is irrelevant to the battery selection unless we're talking about weight..it's gonna be a OS 91HZ.

Good idea about the battery weight and the CG balance...guess I will have to use a nicad to rig the onboard electronics up for setup then find the balance using weights.

How long does it take for you to typically charge your electroncis battery with the iCharger 208B?

Other than that, the battery is removed from the heli everytime it needs to be charged due to it's nature?
