format for competiton
i personally think that competitions having different formats is a good thing and f3n will not be as great as it first looks and maybe boring..for example 3D MASTERS has its own format(3dx) that has been excepted by pilots world wide and tests the ability of the modern 3d pilots and xfc does that also..so if a competitor goes to both and does well he can truly pat himself on the back as a fantastic 3d pilots.

i know that a few pilots are competiting in both the above and i must say well done to these guys nick maxwell is a prime example, what a flexible pilot and to top it off he competes with aircraft too..does this make nick the top man ??..i dont know
i think who ever wins the masters and then goes into xfc may well be that man,
and the guys that follow that route to me will be top 3d pilots dedicated to 3d competitions.

I have long thought that the best guys do not fare well in competitions because their style is hard to judge against others.
Take Botos, H.C., and Tareq as examples how do you judge these guys against more "traditional" styles of flying.
That type of person gets more respect from me because they stay true to their style of flying istead of conforming to do well in contests.
The thing I think that really stands out for me on Botos is the unique music that fits with his flying (fat boy slim, right here right now) that was a great combo
With H.C. It would be tough to find music you would have to have a monkey on crack do the mixing to get even close to the speed he changes directions at.
Any way it goes all the top guys have more skill in their pinky finger than most of us have in our whole body.
