What advantage are you anticipating on getting going DFC?

If the cost is going to be too high I will probably just stick with what I have and wait and get the 3 blade head.

The 550l went back to using the old follower system. It is short as a DFC but uses followers to take the swash drag instead of the grip links. I think they just change stuff up every year or so to be able to say "new and improved". Steve has a name for DFC that puts it more directly.

I'm pretty sure all the align "L" series are dfc. They switched back with the "X" series.

This is right. It is the latest X version. The L is the same as the V3 but it is the X which went back to followers.

FYI Noble_draw

I never had any issues with the DFC setup on my Heli's, in fact I preferred them, some people are going to bash them and some people like them, no different from Ford vs Chevy.

Was able to get the heli up Saturday, has some slight setup issues. So I'm going back through the setup. It pulls over 15 deg positive pitch and 12.5 neg in idle up, swash is not level, and positive pitch at mid stick. Think I'm going to be looking for a ikon fbl unit for it. But for now I'm stuck with the 3gx. Align manuals suck, can hardly follow it in parts. Gotta read like 5 times to understand it. Lol

$30 for blades and $45 for motor, that's local pickup prices.

Get the Ikon, you will love it. You can pickup the Ikon v2 ( not ikon2 ) used for under $100

Right on, I will get with you on those. Will take a couple weeks though so first come first serve.
I have a 3d quad I'm going to post for sale tonight and try to work up the funds for the ikon.
