It wasn't windy? At 4 I was watching the trees bend and saw 18kts on the weather. I guess I am spoiled by two months of 80s and no wind days.

She was porpoising a little bit from the wind but with the bigger Birds the wind didn't bother them at all.

I traded my 230s for a Trex 450 tonight. Going to have a learning curve with the Beast X. For some reason the TH don't work and the collective is not working correctly. I'm hoping one you guys can help.

I could take a look at it next time we're at the field, I'm more of a hands on person.

Did you look at the settings in your transmitter for throttle hold ? It's usually a setting in there, I don't remember any settings in the BeastX that affect throttle hold.

I'm sure it's something simple but for some reason in the switch settings I can't turn TH on. I have the cyclic working correctly but when I start to raise throttle the left servo tilts down instead of going up with the other two.

I guess I'm going out tonight then, if Wednesday looks good I'll go then also.

Edit! I forgot I don't have anything charged for tonight. Maybe I'll just try to set up that BeastX tonight.

Hey guys, I did post this in the FS forum but just incase anyone in the club is interested. I have a Areodyne 700 airframe (same as the Trex 700) That I'm not going to be using. If you have a smaller 600/500 you want to trade I'd be in (Hung) http://www.scaleflying.com/Chaos-70...Kit_p_2225.html

As far as nothing charged aren't you a nitro guy? If you have absolutely no field charger get a turnigy accucel-6. It does a decent job and you can charge a 2S RX pack from your car battery.

Brian, Yes but my receiver pack was not charged and I really wanted to try to get the 450 programmed.

Mike, No I worked on it for a few hours and one servo still moves down instead of up on throttle up.

On setup

The beast doesn't care, or even know about, the throttle. All TH is done in the TX. For futaba you need to activate TH for it to work. On the 7C it defaults to inh and the 14SG needs a switch assigned to it. Read the entire TH page in the TX manual and if still isn't right let me know which TX you have.

Cyclic servo directions for the beast is a 3 step process.

#1 get all 3 going the same way in setup I. it doesn't matter which way, just the same.

#2 get them going the right way with reverse in the TX.

#3 make sure the sensor is correcting the right way.

Of course the TX must be in H-1 and the beast in 120.

In setting up the beast it is best to start at setup A and go in order to the end reading and understanding the manual on each step as you go. This way you will see everything that needs to be checked. If you hunt around trying to just get certain things to work you will miss something in the end

If it still isn't right you can PM and in a few Q/A it will work.
