I just bought one from MP Helis. I got the thicker mil canopy and it's pretty nice.

Gyronut,

I don't recall there being available, any fiberglass canopies of the Cricket back in it's day. I could very well be wrong. I know there were Cobra canopies, I had one. The Cricket was a fixed-pitch trainer heli and only $159 new. A fiberglass canopy wouldn't have really been a justifiable item.

I bought 2 canopies from mphelis like Horacio and they aren't brittle like stock.

Yale Hobbies

Yale Hobbies made FG Cricket canopies back in the day. I had one a couple of years ago but sold it.

Same idea as the FG competitor canopy they made:

My FG Cobra canopy was a Yale too. I bought it mail order from a hobby shop in PA called Eberle's. I couldn't recall for sure if anyone made one for a Cricket. I remember my canopy was heavy and built like a helmet.

I remember John Eberle's. I used to order all my GMP stuff from him. I also had the side panels for my Competitor that I bough there.

I bought all my GMP and Yale stuff from him too. I still have the first metric tool I've owned, a 3mm nutdriver that I bought from him. It's made in Germany. I bought from him because his ad in RCM was a bright yellow page and he or someone was hovering inverted.

Is his shop still around?
