A gasser, like the new Radikal from Century, is just fine for AMA class I. For contests, you have to stay below 25cc, so if your gasser has a G26 in it...hope the CD doesn't ask.

Not really...besides, fuses are over rated Furthermore, they don't allow easy maintenance on the mechanics. So, don't worry yourself over fuses while your learning this stuff.

I have quite a bit of time on the Predator mechanics and find them to be very reliable and easy to work with.

The gasser is a bit heavier then the nitro models I compete with and that makes the model sit well in the hover (I have no time in flying around the gasser so I cannot comment on the aerobatic performance).

The 720's do very well on this airframe as well.

I found out, with my Predator Gasser setup, that the SAB 710 FAI blades are less jumpy on windy conditions.
The big plus for the SG 720´s are autorotations.
