Are the balance and CofG more or less critical with FBL, than they are with a flybar setup?

i would say more critical with fbl, with fbl u want it as good as possible

i started with nothing and still got most of it left

+1, especially on the smaller birds. My mini-v 450pro wouldn't fly right at all with bad cg. Extend the blades, hold the grips and flip the heli over so the mainshaft is horizontal to the ground. The heavy spot will settle to the bottom.
