Hi.
We are going to use a 600 helicopter for AP.
Should we go for a T-Rex 600 E or a Logo 600?
In the next step we are going to stretch it for 710mm blades!

Regards,Richard.

I would go for a logo and stock up on spares(if parts are not easy to get locally)

Skip the Trex 600 and go right to the Trex 700 with a Photo-Ship One (PS1) electric conversion kit.

He is probably talking of his team/firm whatever..
I'd go with the Logo to. Very lightweight and good construction and very easy to stretch it when the time comes...

If you go with a Trex 600 (torque tube) it should be a simple Trex 700 tail boom and torque tube assembly, and larger main/tail blades.

Are you running front or under-slung mount?

Hi.
I think we are going for the under-slung mount,Mini-Pro 1.
Just because of the location of the battery on the T-Rex.

Below: PS1 Trex 700N e-conversion. The frame allows under-slung or front camera mounts. Provides more control over battery and equipment placement for CG.

Note the section below the main gear for battery placement.

I have a stretched Logo 600 with 665mm blades that I am really happy with. I have nerver heared anyone complaining about the quality of parts in the Logo. To stetch just get a Raptor 90 boom, a 788xl belt and some longer boom supports. If you do a search here on Runryder you will find people selling the 788xl belt.

Hi Jesper.
The problem whit Mikado/Logo is our Swedish dealer that never have any parts or helicopters in stock!
Sometimes you need parts fast and dont have the time to wait for an outside country order. That is the reason why we look at the T-Rex.
Muybe we get a Logo anyway and buy alot of spares, but i think it is better to get another helicopter.
I also know it can be stretch to take 710mm blades.
Regards,Richard.

To be honest, I have had to replace no parts due to failure on any of the Logos that I have had (except possibly a lndg gear strut). I also belive that parts are alot cheaper in the UK/US and shipping dosen't usually take that long..

my logo gets alot of flight time too and have never had any problems with it get spares for it (Ideally get two helicopters and have one as a back up that way if anything did happen you have zero down time if your on the job)

3 KG isn't too much for a 600 heli?

It may be on the heavy side but it still handles it fine without any problems. And the trex 600 is all stock including the power system.
