+1

I currently run JR 8915's/8717's but if & when they die or I build another 700 I will go the Align 610's. (Still at 8v)

Go with 8717's you won't regret it. Actually if I had to buy more I would go with the new 8917HV.

Just built mine with JR 8717's for cyclic. Futaba 9254 on throttle and 9256 for tail with the GY611. Using the Spektrum AR7100R with Thunder Power 2650 Mah LiPo.

if you want the "best", why would you consider the aligns? while i know them to be a decent servo, you asked for the best, and you got several high level recommendations, any one of which are faster and/or higher torque. might have saved some time if you had said best for around $75.

Id go with the new 8917HV as they are rated for the 8V you want to throw at them. Also they have steel gears rather then Aluminum so they will last longer too.

I really like the Futaba BLS series servos myself.

I run BLS 451's on my 700, well one of them. I run Align DS610's in the other 700. I have Futaba BLS252's in my Aurora and I think they are great too .

The "best" is not always the most expensive, I think the DS610s are better than way more expensive servos because they not only have great specs, but aren't priced ridiculous. The "best" to me is good performance and a good price at the same time.
