My DX7 screwed up yesterday. After flying my new little micro P-51, I was holding it while unplugging the plane and forgot to turn it off for a few minutes when I heard it beep. I looked down and the screen was blank but the switch was still on. I turned it off and back on the screen flashed on and then back off. I did it again and the same thing thing. Now when I turn it on it says backup error and will do nothing else.
Anyone had anything like this happen?

If is says Backup Error, your only option is to send it to Horizon. I had this happen to mine and I caused the problem myself by dropping the battery out the back and it was not still in warranty. Horizon got it back to me pretty quick, fixed at no charge to me. This and one other experience with Horizon is the reason they have a customer for life.

Thanks for the info! I did charge it and I got the same thing. I guess I'll have to send it in!

Anyone know what causes this fault?

I believe I've read in an older post that this will happen if you leave the TX on until the battery goes dead. Is this what you guys think happened in this case?
