Hi guys,

Could anyone tell me the differences between the Logo 500 and Logo 600 flybarless heads? MIK4041 (500) + MIK4042 (600).

I have a Logo 500 which I am planning to convert to a Logo 600 later on, although it might be a long time until I can convert.

I want to convert my current Logo 500 3D (flybarred) to flybarless.

Are the only differences in the blade grips (Price is the same)?

Thank you.

Hi!

There is bigger mainblades holders 14mm insted for 12 mm (500)and bigger thrust berings and blade holder shaft (don't know the name of it)so everything is bigger in the head.

Daniel.

Ah, I didn't realise 600 blades had a thicker blade root, I thought the 500 had the same thickness.

Is there any advantage to the larger thrust bearings? And do you mean the bolt which holds the blade in is thicker?

Am I right in thinking that the feathering shaft is also longer? (Effect of a larger blade disk on the 500)

I was thinking of purchasing the 600 head (MIK4042) and then running the 500 blade grips, so they would work with the smaller blades 500 size blades for now. This way it would be ready for the 600 blades after changing the grips and perhaps fly better with a larger rotor disk size (Blade grips further out from hub).

Or am I just messing with a good mix and I should just buy the 500 head for now and then get the parts needed to convert to a 600 head later on (No matter how much that would cost)?

Thanks for your reply.

500 grips will work for most 600 blades, u will get smaller bearings but doubt that would be a problem do the 500se is using it and swing 600 blades

i started with nothing and still got most of it left

Bigger grips, different spindle and thrust bearings on the 600. Might as well buy the parts now but you will need spacers for the blades in the larger grips.......Ron

Hey guys, when I do eventually goto the 600 size blades (Like I said will be a while) I'll go for the EDGE 603mm blades which have a 12mm root and 4mm blade hole. Sounds like it'll be good for the 500 size grips?

That means if I was to purchase the MIK4042 for the bigger (And better I presume) thrust bearings and feathering shaft I would have to use spacers as the grips are 14mm. I've never been a fan of using blade spacers.

I don't know why but something in my head says the larger feathering shaft and thrust bearings would be better no matter the blades. (Less load on bearings and larger rotor disk)

I'm confused haha...

Well if the Logo 500 SE is using the MIK4041 and smaller bearings/feathering shaft you're right in the fact that it doesn't seem to mind, that can be flown HARD (If it is using the MIK4041 head).

My 500SE flies great on Edge 603mm blades, or at least it did before I crashed recently (nothing to do with the head).

Mikado reckon the 500 head is good up to 620mm blades. Who I am to argue...
