I am looking for a heli hover resue game that I remember having while growing up.it came with a mat and some figures.the heli was attatched to a controller that took batteries(2 c I think)you pressed the button and tilted the controller to manuver the heli.it was a fun game at the time.I was looking to buy one if I could.
Any body out there got any ideas?

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

the one I am looking for the heli was not attatched to the mat,and you tilted the controller and the heli moved and it had two men,one was holding a hoop and the other was holding an arrow.you had to pick them up and move them.
Still searching

That looks cool!! I used to have something similar. It was a heli with a springy wire teather to your controller. You pushed the button and the heli came to life. It would go up fast and the teather brought it in an arc so that it came down on your neck inverted every time!! ...Good Times!! It was really fun though!!

I had that exact same one when I was a kid. I loved that thing. I used to to change the pitch of the blades by twisting the plastic rotors and experimenting what would happen.

I've found 4 of them.Each around $100.

Most are from 1973.

I got one from Tower Hobbies a few years ago. I bought it for my little boy, because I had one when I was young. I had the yellow one like the pics on here. The one I bought from tower was green, but it had the hook on it and the little man that it pics up. I paid like $35 for it. I looked on Towers site a minute ago and didnt see it.

I remeber those. I wish I still hade mine. It would look great next to my outer space robot that walked, then machine guns popped out of it's chest while it's top rotated. Remember them?

I had the one that was connected to the coast guard rescue ship. Lots of hours playing with that toy. At 9 or 10 I figured out that you could jumper my dads 12 volt battery charger into the power loop instead of the batteries. The battery charger combined with a blob of modeling clay stuffed into the nose to weight the front of the machine resulted in the equivilant of control line speed runs in the basement! I found a great full size knock off a couple of years ago at a toy store marketed as chopper command. I think they may still be available. If so, they will cost much less than a vintage verti bird.
