I am running all the stock motor and esc with a 15 pinion. I have the esc set to the defaults but it has no pop at all. I am running 11 degree pitch +/-. The heli is quick just no pop????

That "pop" comes from the blades...larger blades = more poop. Gonna be tough to hear any on that size heli.

I didn't mean the sound. I can push the left stick straight up and count to five before it starts to climb. My throttle cruve is 100 90 100.

What blades?

205Ds, 16T pinion and 100% curve with 12 degrees collective provides plenty of "pop" for me.

sounds like way too slow of headspeed...or maybe you programed your ESC wrong.

What cells are you using? My 250 lacked a little pop until I changed the blades and the cells. A 16 tooth pinion will help with the pop too.

Using the 15 that can with it and the carbon blades. Also the Align 850 30c batteries. Will the 16 tooth help?. Maybe I need to check my esc settings again. Are the defaults good enough?

Looks like one of the default settings on that ESC is "quick throttle response" which is good...the 16T won't necessarily help you, but it will up your head speed. Own a tach? If your throttle curves are already at 100, 90, 100 and you move the collective up and "count till five before it climbs" then something is really wrong. Even IF your headspeed was really low, it should climb imeaditely. I would verify that your pitch curves are linear and that on the bench your swash and servos move when you move the sticks. Maybe you have some sort of radio/ RX issue.

run full HS (100%) and get better batts. the align batts are underpowered to me. try the new hiperions or outrage NRG. heck, even the TP 45C!

I was going to say that the Hyperion cells made a big difference in my heli compared to the Align packs.

I have both the Align 850mah 30C and TP 45C and I fly 3D and its hard to tell the difference between the 2 other than the TP 45C staying a bit cooler after a flight.

16T pinion and 100% flat in idle up will help as will increasing the collective pitch.

If this is your first 250 then that is just the way they fly compared to a larger heli. It will be made worse by adding extra weight like a big battery, heavy gyro or heavy tail servo.

Hows the tracking of the blades? Sometimes we just have to look at basics

Also check the balls on the main blade grips -- they sometimes get loose -- have you crashed it? aometimes also get bent.

whats your "pitch'setting at in your swash mix?
