I have a question. I bought an E-325 ARF with motor and ESC. My motor is red with no markings on it at all and my ESC is the TTR completely shrink wrapped. My friend bought the kit version and his motor is silver in color and his ESC is semi shrink wrapped with the heat sink visible. Is there a difference in performance because mine is so much more powerful. We are running the exact same equipment and batteries. The only difference is I am running Mavrikk G5 wide cord blades and he running a totally different blade. This really has me wrapped around the axle.

The silver one is junk, bogged lots under load and got hot enough to burn my fingies so now have the Tarot 3600kv in it, for $20USD its a ripper. I had the red motor in a previous MT and remember it being more powerfull than this new silver one, don't know what they changed or why

Ok thanks, I am trying to find out why there is a difference in motors and what the difference is. You can certainly see the performance in the air.

my stock kit came with the red motor -- runs ok -- kinda boggy (poor collective skills lol) and comes down hot after 4 min flight loops rolls etc

Unless they changed out the motor, the Red one normally came with the normal mini-t and the silver one came with the SE version.

The Red one is 3500 KV and the silver was 3700 KV (approx.). If it is the same, the silver one is awesome. But, based on your description, it does not sound like the case.

Find out the KV.

Yeah thats right Helicraze but the new std kits have a silver only motor, the origional std one was red 3500 then the SE was silver 3700kv.......the one we are talking about is a silver 3500kv that seems to have replaced the red 3500kv in the STD kits

So to clear things up

Old STD Red with black bits 3500kv = not too bad

Silver with red bits 3700kv SE = pretty bloody good

New STD ALL silver 3500kv = not too flash at all
