Align servos are 167hz, they will work best at 1520-160hz setting on the Axiom.

44 on feedback is extremely high, factory suggests low settings for 3D.

My feedback is at 3-4 respectivly.

What servos are you running?

Hi Mike
Actually the manual only sets it as default. They don't recommend any setting, unless the manual you are using is different. Are you using the Axiom or SJGD manual. The only reason I'm using a feedback of 44 is because I'm not that good. It gets to responsive for me. I find the default value of 10 to be not very locked in.

The manual does say that zero is heading hold. The lower the value the more locked in it feels. I started with the default 10 and tried up to 15 but ended up on 3 because it holds and tracks better with a lower number.

Lower feedback translates into more hold, if it feels like a flybar...that's a good thing since flybars obviously fly very well and feel locked in.

At a feedback of 44 my helicopter won't fly, as a matter of fact at 20 it feels very sloppy.

Hey Guys
I have been thinking a lot about our setup differences.
I am running my servos at more than twice your speed.
I believe thats the difference. All the feed back does
is slow down the acceleration and deacceleration of the
cyclic servos.

This makes the heli simulate a flybar. This is what a flybar does.
Watch a fly bar as it nears neutral. Its slows down a lot.

I know that the Align servos have to run at a framerate of 160.

So it needs the feedback set to flybar settings.
When you increase the feed back with faster servo framerate
it becomes flybarless and very locked in. Big difference in
responsiveness.

Just my thoughts, Wayne

well I received my new V2 FS600, and have it all setup for maiden tomorrow.

Ended up with:
Gain at 25 on ail and ele to start with
Feed is at 5 on both
Cyclic limit is at 220
Pitch is at 27
Ail and Ele rate is at 150

Have 13deg pitch and 10deg cyclic.

No trim or EPA adjustment required at all.

Lots more functions in V2 software, and finally I can actually see the difference while changing setings.

I went with one layer of Zeal on the bottom, metal plate, then Align PU gel on top, with a thin Align strap over it.
Wires a loose but not floppy.

I REALLY hope it works for me this time lol.

Does the piro optimize function work in the programmer yet?
I only see piro comp stated as a no no right now??

Cheers

Hi Gorn,

I think you will like the V2 much better! They did a good job with the menu's and improved the vibration isolation software.

I am looking forward to the next version which should include the Piro Optimization, Piro Compensation and support for Mechanical mix helicopters (Raptor).

DO NOT use the Piro Comp menu in V2. It will disable the tail.

well in Borats own words "great success! "
I ended up reducing cyclic and pitch values for less pitch, as it had too much IMO.
I reduced cyclic rates back to 120, and also reduced Feed for both back to 3.
My gain is now at 33, but I flew for a few minutes with it at 36 without it wagging/shaking.
I did have to reduce the stop values for both ail and ele.
They are down to about 85 to stop any shake or bounce on sudden stops.

The tail is very good, but I do need to change some settings to make it feel the way I want it to.

Its a very weird experience flying with no flybar, locked but twitchy, powerful but floaty.
Everything sounds different too, not just engine note, so Im re-learning what to listen for in flight.

So I had 5 tanks through it today, in pretty heavy wind.
IMO it works very well, and so far Im very happy with the V2 software.
HUGELY better than the older version I had before.

Just need to fine tune it some more over the next few weekends, and get used to flying it.

Bring on V3 with the piro optimization!!

Im wondering how you guys are getting your servo wires to clear the top of the canopy?
I wrongly thought that the stock 700 canopy was a bit taller at the gyro plate than my V2 Fusuno.
They are basically the same height, and the wires rub on the canopy.
Yesterday I was flying without canopy for this very reason.
I WISH they made it end pin instead of top pin.
Major PITA.
