Hey all, I have a TREX 600e stretched to 700 in a scale fuselage.it runs a head converted with the Mikado kit and an SK360. I was flying one day and went to add some more pitch to slow a descent and it started resonating and basically shook itself to pieces. Fine, maybe the fuselage wasn't braced enough or something broke. Problem is after rebuilding the heli and flying in pod and boom form it still wants to do the same thing. It looks just like ground resonance but in the air. It will start kind of slow and will increase as pitch is added. It will go away if I take the pitch out. Higher head speeds makes it worse, lower makes it better but it doesn't go away. Head speed is currently around 1600. All the usual suspects were replaced including dampers(align black), feathering shaft, and main shaft. Head phasing is fine. Could somebody please check my settings and see if there is anything obvious I've got wrong or suggest something else I'm missing. Is it possible a flaky servo could cause this? Thanks.

Dave

click "show actual gains" and screen capture that.
Looks like you have Hiller jammed WAY high and Bell super low.
That would act like a tail gyro with way too much gain

Jim, you absolutely called it. Hiller gain was 100%. Trouble is I didn't set it that way. Last time I set it I used the show actual gains screen and set them that way. When I go to make changes using that screen now the hiller dial doesn't work anymore, the bell works just fine. Not sure whats up with that.

disable the dials all together and just use the electronics.

Load the scale or 3D settings and fly

I thought of that, but unless I'm missing something I have no provision to disable the dials. No changes I make anywhere will reduce the hiller gain to less than 100%. The bell dial does change the gains.

I seemed to remember having that option before I updated the firmware to 1.10. Now it appears to be called "use base gains directly" This seems to be working so I guess I just have a bad pot on the unit. Thanks for your help!
