After my recent crash i did not even go in that hard but my ds410 metal servo's on my trex 450 pro feel wierd when i move them when the power is off. They sound a little more metal grindier then normal. They don't feel like they have any broken gears just sound different. Has anyone had this problem that kept flying and had something go wrong or any advice as i should fix them would be great. Thanks

You better open them up and have a good look at them . I think some new gear sets may be on order .

If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space !

would'nt it be grindy and hard or not possible to turn if i need new gears? When you fire them up they work great but when off they seem alittle more i don't know how to say it but kind of louder like you can hear the gears turning more than before and easier to turn. Has anyone stripped the metal before. Back when I had mg65 (i believe they were called) on my trex 450 V2 I don't think i stripped any of them but did burn one out.

the 410 align mg servos suck , the metal must be the same crap they make tools out of over there . I've put my 450 pro in a couple times and had to rebuild the servos both times and they're mg servos .

whats a good replacement for the servo's. Or can i just put regular 410 gears in it if they are going to strip, might as well put the cheap plastic ones in right?

Don't blame the servos because your crashing ,just joking .

kaz172,just take the servo apart and check the gears. If you can turn the servo and can't feel it skip (chipped tooth) im sure there fine, take it apart anyways to be sure. You can put plastic gears in if you want but the metal ones are pretty cheap..

I have the Align servos on 2 of my birds and they always sounded like they have sand in them! They still work fine though.

He will right after he orders some new gears set.

I had Hitec 65 mg that took some good abuse .

Where did he say the gears where stripped ?My DS610 and DS410 are the same way hes talking about and the gears are perfect. All the Align servos feel "grindy" ,thats just how they are.

They are not stripped they still work great when the servos are on. But when off if you pull them up or down they feel more gritty now but don't feel stripped, I was trying to find out if that is some thing to worry about but they seem fine. Never had a problem with the 410's on my trex 250 but then again they had plastic gears.
