Spent most of the day installing my new VBar in my Trex 500. I had problems earlier with trying to bind the Specturm to the radio but by plugging the Satellite into RX-2 it seemed to bind just fine.
After wiring all the servos into the correct spots on The VBar and plugging in the ESC into the collective port I tried to turn it all on to finish the set up on the head and centering all the mechanical items. When I turn on the system it gives the standard ESC tones as well as the normal twitch of the head and the Satellite light shows it recognizes the transmitter, but for some strange reason I get no response at all from the collective left stick and the cyclic right stick just generates totally random movements of the servos to the point that i can hold the stick slightly to the left and all three servos will twitch wildly.

Then I tried adding the second satellite and rebinding which again was successful but alas I got the same exact results with no response from the left stick and twitching from the right stick. I am using the TRex 500 preload program and I copied my FBL VBar 600 model to a clean model on my DX12. I then went through the 500 FBL model and changed things like the servo reversing to match the olf non FBL model I had been flying the 500 with

I am out of ideas so I could certainly use any advise as to where to start. I did go therough the binding process several times including marking the prepare bind box on the receiver setup area of the software. Still seems to bind fine but no left stick and nothing that is what it should be on the right stick.

I appreciate in advance any ideas you can pass on for me to try..

Thanks and Happy New Year to you all

Do you have the drop down box set for DX-7 in the VBAR program? It is in the setup portion under rx adjustments.

Yes the drop down menu is and has been set to DX7 in the receiver menu.

Thanks for suggesting it.

Still looking for any other ideas.

Did you also check to see if your tx is set to one servo and no mixes are on? I know you copied the file over but sometimes things get missed............Ron

I did check the one servo but I did not go through all the mixes so I will do that now.

Thanks for the ideas...

I went through all the mixes and the swash mix this morning verifying that they were all set correctly and no mixes were set. All were appropriate.

Thanks for the idea.

Still searching for an answer.

Do not use a "bind plug" when binding Spectrum Satellite receivers to a VBar

I just had it in my mind that I was "binding" like with a Spectrum receiver and was using a "bind plug". In Vbar you check the "prepare to bind" box and DO NOT use any kind of a bind plug on the Vbar.

Thanks to Danal for taking time out of his beautiful flying day to resolve this for me and get my new unit functioning.

Hey man i don't want to pi..ss on your battery but this just seems to be a reminder to everyone to rtfm and watch the videos included with the software, look how much trouble you would have saved yourself
I also learned the hard way

Common sense may not be common after all

I wouldn't feel so foolish if I had not RTFM at least 4 times cover to cover, and watched all of the videos too. But that "Spectrum" part of my brain just kept telling me to plug in the bind plug somewhere....

Oh well... I am over it and everthing is fine...

Now that you've got the 500 figured out, is your Predator going to be the next one to go flybarless?

If your looking for a 700 electric, there appear to be quite a few good options right around the corner in addition to the anticipated Trex 700E. The Rave 90E and the E-Aurora, just to name a few. The Henseleit electric 90 even comes with a special edition "white" V-bar, but you have to get on a year long waiting list if you want to fly that one.
