Looks like you will need to develop some de-icing equipment for your equipment. Does the snow throw things out of balance?

It was icing up in the fog,
The balance wasn't affected, the performance was, the pics you see was enough to just about prevent even a hover!

The plank on the other hand was doing ok, just elevator control was getting mushy after a while

Our club had a new years day fun fly today the high temp of the day was -13 deg ferenheit with 15 to 20 mph wind for wind chills in the -30 deg range, it was very cold, but all my equipment survived, includeing my new radical.pretty close to the coldest I've flown in, when i was younger and more gung ho have flown down to -25 , but very hard on equipment so try not to fly below zero for the most part , unless special, occasion like today.

Century heli rep. To much power is never enough.

I dunno what went wrong. Got into a messy hover and she twitched. Turned itself and I set it
down. I'm still checking it out.

Was about 30C here and 60% moisture, fine tuning my Gaui 200 between the working dryer and whashing machine! hahaha

PS. It was -10C outside... but too snowy to fly

LOOKS GOOD DIE HARDS!!!

You know you are addicted when that first flight of the year is important.

The iced up plank is funny,LOL. The iced up blades on the heli are serious voodoo!!! When it happend to me I had very little time ,,,,,just about a minute, to figure out what was going on, and set her down....well SHE WAS setting herself down awfully fast!!!

My one battery flight on the 450 was all I could stand....it was brutal. Even my Hand warmers in the tx mitt were in-effective. First time I ever flew with -0 or colder wind chill. Yikes.

It was my frozen tears that were screwing me up.

Why Hover a Yak, when a Heli does it better?

It was -2 at 10am with 5-10mph winds just north of the Twin Cities St Paul/Minneapolis. My Trex500 got a battery run through it.

If you skip me I can't play!
