Hi guy's, I have also put this topic in motors and controllers.
I am setting up another trex 500 but this time I was supplied with a Duelsky XC8018BA speed controller,I seemed to be following the programing ok, but the soft start seems to be set way to hard for my liking, is this a normal trait with these speed controllers or am I missing something. I know the odd speedy has come out with incorrect instructions, or are these units always fast to start up. The way it is I doubt I will be able to use it like this. ANY help will be appreciated.

Desperately, Neal

This what their web site says it can do.
3 startup modes: Normal / Soft / Super-Soft startup, can be used for both fixed-wing aircraft or helicopter models
You must not be doing something correctly.

stanc, Happy new year.
Thanks for the reply, I wasn't sure if I had done something wrong or not, I have heard and seen first hand where they have printed instructions out of correct order! Anyway after your reply I jumped a few steps putting this 500 together, and I fitted a set of blades to it and just gave it a run up. All was good, it spun up a bit quicker than the stock align speedy, which is what I am use to, but all good. Morale of the story is I should have tried it with blades on it first! It does feel a bit more responsive though
So thanks again
Neal
