Guys,

Anyone know whether a compatible Flybarless head is available for the Mini Titan?

Thanks,
Raz

I've read of a couple people piecing together a FBL head setup for their MTs. I remember one person used a Gaui head but I know nothing more about it.

Bobby Smith sells several FBL heads for 450s. Contact him and ask for some advice on your project.

Because of RR rules of not being able to even mention resources that are not paid advertisers at RR I cannot even mention the name of Bobby's store. If ya don't know his store you will have to go to the "other" forum and ask someone to tell you the name of his store.

I just bought the Gaui 450 size which takes the same 5 mm shaft.

I am installing it on my E325SE along with the Mikado Mini V-Bar.

I used to have a t-rex that I fitted with a minititan SE head. It only required me to use the main shaft for the rex and I rotated the swash and drilled the balls in. That being said, I would think you could use most any 450 head. I would look into the head for the Rave. I recall early on them stating that you could (not sure why you would want to) put a t-rex head on the Rave.

Just an idea...

will do - gonna be kinda slow though.

I'm real busy now with my business. I am also waiting on a DX7SE with satellites to use with the V-Bar. All my other stuff is Futaba, but I think the spektrum satellites eliminate a lot or excess wiring with the V-bar.

The V-Bar with the the satellite RXs is the way I would do it if I was gonna go FBL. Like you, I looked at that setup possibility and liked the thought of less wire and a cleaner overall install.

Please report how the project works out for you.

I'll keep you posted as to progress and results.

The satellites shipped today from ReadyHeli and the DX7SE will be here about the 15th of January.

The Gaui head looks real nice and is a good fit on the 5mm shaft.

Hey guys,

I also own the DX7SE. However it seems the mini-v isn't 2048 compatible so the 11ms, 2048 functionality of the SE isn't being utlized with the miniV acting as the Rx. However, I assume we'll be able to plug an AR7600 into the miniV to get the 11ms 2048.

This is a post from Ulrich of the vbar forum. He seems to also feel the 2048 is marketing hype?

"It does not support 2048 Resolution, but it works with all known Spektrum or JR Transmitters. It will run in 1024 Mode then, but its still better than the analog transmission with single channels, even in 1024 Mode."
