Got it from Wowhobbies and so far great service. I flew the bigger heli's mainly ( Ion-X,Razor,Trex 600 ) and my beam, trex 250 wich is very touch and recently was in local hobby shop and bought a Blade Msr and am now hooked on Micro Heli's. Would you recommend adding some fly bar weights to start out and Decreasing Values on swash settings for aile and Elev to calm heli down while getting the hang of it? Who carries the nicad batteries and charger for the transmitter as I'd rather not have to worry about replacing batteries. I noticed the tail blades very loose but I figured suppose to be that way with them being so light.

Any help will be appreciated....Thanks

I would not add any flybar weights to the heli just add some expo to slow things down around center. As far a the TX I just run an old 800mah lipo in it that way I dont have to worry about buying batteries.

You can take the swash mix down to about 50 and the D/R down to about 70 and the EXP to +60. That will calm it down quite a bit until you get the hang of it.

As for the batteries. I went to walmart and got a AA rechargeable battery kit, has worked great for me.

Hi
one thing is Walkera made the 2801 TX with the flight mode and throttle hold switches reversed , if you are up to the mod you can move the flight mode to the left side and the throttle hold to the right

here is a thread that has some info on it , scroll down a bit , you will see it in quotes

My advice.

Throw the stock battery away, it is a complete disaster. Hardly provides enough power to do any type of 3-d flying with. Get the 20-C linear current batteries from WOW. Also, put the larger pinion on it, if you are going to run the stock motor. Again, the power is a big let down on this stock machine. The stock set up is very discouraging.

Now, if you are ready to throw some money at it, go to WOW and get Manuel's set up and put on it. It is pretty good. I will be posting video very soon as I have been flying this little thing for a few days now, and am almost ready to post.

Another good upgrade is to go back to the Plastic mixing arms. The metal ones are so sloppy and causes the machine to wander, and have a mind of its own. This is one good upgrade for stability. Also, dont use the plastic head block as you will get a lot of vibration from it if you use the Hot motor set up.

Another thing you want to look at is the CG. It is way tail heavy with the 20-c battery. I actually just cut my tail fin down to about half the material, and now my CG is nice. If you have a bad CG, the thing will never fly right inverted.

Last, Use some expo, and watch your rates. I think mine came with like 30 on the dual rates which made it so slow, that it would hardly flip. If you want an intermediate set up go to 50, and run about 30% expo, and you should have a nice hover.

One more thing. Walkera sends it to you RTF, and it pretty much is, but all the servo links are different, which makes it fly pretty crappy. You are going to want to make them the same, and sub trim your servos until the arms are pretty straight, then play around with your sub trims until you get your swash flat. This really helps with refined control once you get to start throwing it around.

Hope this helps

If you use flybar weights, many have used fishing weights, MAKE SURE THEY ARE SECURE you don't want them zinging at ya
