Hello all,
I just got my Atom 6HV test kit in yesterday. Along with some Compass 615mm main blade's.

Frame is basically a larger version of the Atom 500.

My setup for the 6HV will be....
Stock motor and esc
Align 610 servo's for cyclic
AR7000 RX
Spartain/9256 for the tail

Here's a few shot's for a comparison against the Atom 500

The new pinion support shots

A few close-up's out of the heli.

I don't crash... I land with style

Very interesting. Is this a 600 size or a new 500 size?

How do you get one of these. It looks great. Looks like it would be an easy kit to build.

Hey Toolman,

you're right this is a super easy build. Mine is almost done too, can't wait to fly it. Seems the power consumption is very good.

Main Gear

George,

Thanks for the photos! I'm wondering if you can tell me the tooth count on that main gear, it's obviously a fair bit larger than the 87 tooth main in a 600E. Also, if you'd be so kind, the tooth count on the motor pinion?

Thanks,
Jay

Hey Jay,
Thanks. Ya I actually thought it was the same as the 600E's. But it's a 104t main and a 10t pinion.

From what I'm told they are thinking of shipping the production kit's(when available) with 9t pinions last I heard.

Thanks George!

So what is the KV of the motor, I'm guessing it's about 560KV or something thereabout? That would be something you could gear with either 9 or 10 tooth pinion with 12S, and a 104 main.

I see this is using a counterbearing. What size motorshaft is being used?
