I've noticed the pivot bolts (2530-005 etc) are now chromed or stainless steel. These used to be just oxide steel and would get a bit rusty if you didn't use your micro oiler on them.
Does anybody know if they're stainless or chromed?

The lot I got is not a lot, but I thank God a lot for the lot I got!

They're not stainless as that wouldn't be hard enough. Most likely nickel plated.

Just joking Dr.Ben!

I've read a lot of your comments on here, you're obviously quite knowlegable/familiar with the Hirobo Eagles.

Thanks!

TMoore,
They certainly are much improved over what they used to be. Just replaced a lot of these on my 90-91 SST Eagle with the SSR-II rotor head. This head has I believe 2 degrees of coning angle incorporated, smoothest hover I've ever flown!

Thanks!

No,no...........I didn't take it the wrong way. I had initially based my assumption that the bolts were NOT SS b/c the similar version in my IV heads are attractive to a magnet, but I did a quicky check after posting to confirm that while some SS isn't particularly attracted to magnets, some is. Regardless, SS would not be the material you'd likely see in such an application, as Terry noted.
