No ! you might have a bad weld or while they were welding dropped some of the material used to weld it .
Email them they will take care of you or no worries just fly it one day it will come out.

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

if it sounds like the size of a 1/2 dollar then a baffle has come loose. send it back in.

if it ain't broke, break it.

defective weld, i'd guess. i wouldnt keep flying it. they'll most likely send you a new one at this stage--showing no external damage, right? but, if you dump that one, there's no proof the crash didnt cause it.

if it ain't broke, break it.

not on a properly made pipe. that's why it's defective and needs to be sent back. probably a bad weld internally.

if you want advice to fly it anyway, then go ahead. it's your money. as long as it's not the first baffle, it shouldnt affect performance. personally, for what those things cost i'd want a good one out of the box.

if it ain't broke, break it.

My first MP5 SB came with a loose baffle out of the box. It sounded like a rattle. They were great and I got a new one pretty fast. The tech guy acted like I was the first person that it had ever happened to though, even though I remember reading posts online about the occasional bad weld and loose baffle in the MP5s. Oh well I got a new one that has worked great for the last 7 months.

Hi
I had a Outrage 50 and the baffel came loose and that loose baffel fried my O.S hyper it just overheated so badly and so quickly no chance in seeing anything bevor. What happend that the baffel was loose only when hot , when it cooled there was no rattle. I noticed that becasue my carbsmart stayed full rich trying to coole the engine, it started to sound really rough and the tail started kicking. I would definatly not fly it anymore. But the Outrage pipes are known to brake the baffels. anyway funny enough after that experience I got myself a MP 5 SB and never looked back it works great for 500 flights now. So I guess yours had a defect and I think CY would replace it , they have great service.

Regards Pete

I agree with Turkana. I had my MP5 baffle come loose and sounded like a clinking sound only when hot.

I called CY support and sent them my pipe and they sent me a new one.

Unfortunately the engine had overheated abit and scored the piston and ended up killing my rear bearing prematurely some time later.

Save yourself a headache and call them up.

Really nice to talk to on the phone.

Cheers.
