Hi guys!

Any of you knows a video where we can see autorotations on windy cliff? I know some guys are doing this and can stay on autorotation for hours without burning a drop of glow! Cool!

Thank you in advance!

Try searching for "slope soaring". I remember a recent thread about that.

Markerbeacon asked the same question a few days ago.

There is a thread here that has a couple of still shots of a Concept 30 being slope-soared. A search of the internet turns up a couple of videos that have since been pulled by the OP.

The short answer to your question is "no".

Do a Google search, if you find some, post them.

I've done it in RealFlight 3.5. I had to adjust the weight to get it to stay up but it can be done that way. I have wondered if it is possible IRL.

I would love to see it, Ive heard it can be done but it still does not seem possible to me.

The only thing on Utube I can find is computer simulated.

I would like to know what it is, how do you slope soar a heli? Do you hit throttle hold or just flying at a reduced power level?

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

+2 for the sierra nevada cliff in G3.5. I have not tried in 4.5 yet. I usually just flew the 90 size model and hit throttle hold once over the edge. I could fly around as long as wanted. Loops and rolls were easy too. Almost any airplane could be sloped at that site too. Its a hoot.
