I added a new model to my X9303 and tried to bind reciever and the main receiver stopped blinking but the remote never stopped blinking. I tried it a second time and neither would stop blinking. Cycled power on both and tried it a third time but receiver would never stop blinking.

I added new model to my DX7 and the same receiver bound right away.
Any ideas why?

If you have to bend over more than once to pickup your Heli it was a bad landing

Try holding the 9303 a few feet away from the TX when binding. If it's too close then it may not work. Also it may take a lot longer to bind than you think. Be sure the RX is in fast blinking bind mode before turning on the TX. Turn on the TX while holding the bind button.

I tried that before. I was at least 2 feet away and the antenna was pointing away from the receiver. Maybe I need to wait longer for it to bind. I will try it again.

Still won't bind to 9303

I held the bind button for over a minute and the lights never stopped blinking. Could it be something I have in setup on radio?
It bound back to the DX7 in less than 5 seconds.

Check that the cable connecting the two is sound and plugged in completely.

The cable that connects the main receiver to the satellite receiver...

Duffy -- this is a native mode X9303, not an XP9303 using the Spektrum module.

It should work as is, out of the box. There is no need to do anything with the modulation type.

you might try binding to another unused model slot, one that has never been used.

that really shouldn't make a difference as I bind AR7000's to my X9303 all the time on existing already setup slots. This is more just a stab in the dark.

Can you try binding to a different RX on the model slot you are having trouble with? Even with an RX that is already being used somewhere, you can rebind it back to the correct model location after the test.

You have to plug the binding plug into the battery port of your AR7000 to get it to go into bind mode.

I had one AR7000 do me that way a while back. I called horizon and they had me send it in and they replaced it. The rec was bad but I may have a radio problem, still haven't figured it out yet.

Well, I've put the binding plug in every port on the Rx now with no luck.

The light remains solid-no binding to either Tx.

The ONLY port on an AR7000 that will allow the radio to go into bind mode is the BATTERY port. Installing the Bind plug into any port other than the Battery port is futile, a waste of time, and will do NOTHING to put the RX into bind mode.

The bind plug shorts the two outer pins of the battery port together. In all other receiver outputs, installing the bind plug will short the pulse-width signal from the receiver to the servo to ground, not a smart move. The third wire on the battery port is a multipurpose pin. It puts the RX into bind mode, and if you have the Flight Log device, communicates with the Flight Log.

-----

Plug the bind plug into the battery port.

Apply power to any other port in the receiver (make sure you don't have the battery plug upside down -- you won't hurt anything, you'll just not apply power to the RX).

If you do THAT, and the RX doesn't enter bind mode, the RX is toast.
