That might be one of the best non-flight pictures ever.
Ditto .

Why Hover a Yak, when a Heli does it better?

Rubbing alcohol on the blades will prevent some of that ice build up so much.

Getting ready to load up myself for the obligatory New Years Day flight. Supposed to be 60 degrees today with no wind. It's rough living in the high desert but someone has to do it. Probably won't wear shorts though.

Very cool!
I have flown in some ice fog before, and gotten 1/8 in accumulation of ice on the rotating parts. It was so much it brought me down, no power couldn't hover. Luckly I was doing simple FF (can't see) The flight lasted 1 min tops before I couldn't keep it up.
Not sure if it was a combo of things, blades airfoil messed up, carb icing, weight increase.

Anyway interesting to see the affects in real life.

You are most welcome. People appear to have found them more interesting than I originally anticipated.
