I bought a used heli and discovered the motor wire was pulled apart. There is still some of the wire in the connector. I have heard in the past not to shorten motor wires. Is this ok to re-tin the wire and put it back together?

It looks like you haven't lost that much length on that wire, so a re-solder should be good.

Thanks. I cleaned it up and did re-solder it. I am hoping it will be ok. I was able to run the motor, so it looks decent so far.

Having the path short from the ESC to the motor is preferred. So no problem, and as said keep the wires the same length.

keepin' it real
