Hello Pacific Northwest Heli flyers!

Jim here...aka (sinte),

I've been considering for a while that it would be kind of cool to have a RR thread dedicated to the heli folks of the PNW. I think it would be a great way to stay in touch with people we get to meet and hang out with during the funfly season.

Let's keep it about helis! Post events, share info, feature pics and vidz of some of the Northwest guys laying down some smack!

Shout out to:
Hot Start Helis, Olympia WA
RAMS Club, Puyallup WA
Westside Helis, Oregon
Cascade Model Heli Club, Snohomish WA

As well as all of us who fly in small groups here and there.

If you guys are on-board let's do it!

Jim

NYD FUN FLY Heli Bash, Jan 1st
•Sam2b
Elite Veteran
Location: Seattle, WA - USA

Who is attending the Tacoma field January 1st for the New Years Day Heli Bash? (notice I said bash, not crash). I plan on arriving 10am. Call your Heli buds, dust off your blades, and let's have a blade smack'n good time! Welcome the new year with some exhaust smoke in the air.

It may be cloudy, so bring an easy up tent thingy, a propane heater, and yellow lenses.

That's great Rob, I'm glad that the field and club are doing well. I plan to renew my membership and visit alot more often this year. I've kinda been off the radar for a while, just busy with work and the family.
Just started working on a new heli kit this evening....man i'm really jonesin' for a flight or two, it's been about a month and a half! But the good weather is just around the corner...this summer should be a blast!

See ya soon.

Nah, no pics. I had a minor set back though. Turns out the kit had two starter assembly/clutch parts bags but no bearing block/radio tray parts bag. Called the distributor today, they're sending me the parts i need and letting me keep the spares.

First PNW Fun Fly

Guys, typically the first Pacific North West Heli Fun Fly is the Othello event in May. Keep a look out for a thread by YellowJacket. Othello is a little smaller than Snohomish, but great scenery, sky, and field. Some of you never have been there yet. You know who you are. It is worth the 3 hour drive.

Hey Sam, it was good to hang out for a short while and catch a flight today. Too bad we got rained out. Your AHF Aeolus/V-bar is flying great!
Othello sounds fun, maybe we can travel together and share cost?

Hey guys, there is a local guy selling a 700 in good condition bind & fly complete minus the governor, or option 2: frame + motor/pipe at a very decent price. Shoot me a pm if you're interested.
