Hey guys,

Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a few party plans for tomorrow! This topic usually gets quite a good turn out so here it is again.

What have you learned over the past 12 months? Any new manoeuvres? New equipment? Or maybe just the same old! Please keep it related to R/C helis

Happy 2010!

Hmmm...lets see...

Got a second Caliber 90 flying, use it for another Nats win, followed by unemployment. I'd say it was a draw.

Best Year Yet!

This year I learned Loops,Roles,Forward and Backward Flips, Stall Turns, and Autos. I also got my 1st Scale Bird a used 50 size Bell 222 with Trex 600 mechanics and Built A Huges 500E with Trex 600 mechanics.
I attended my 1st Fun Flys and Events this year as well. I flew more this year than the previous two years combined.
I ended the year starting inverted Hovering (anyone know where I can get some more cheap blades lol)
My thanks to Doorman , Tuff Muffler, gftazz, and all the other people that have Mentored and assisted me this year even if it was just to run out and help me pickup the pieces. Happy New Year everyone

You had me at Hover

I managed to get the number of crashes down to one this season (mechanical failure). Maybe zero next year? Not likely.

I also only dumped mine once this year. Put my 600 into the ground as I transition out of a low high speed hurricane. Everything survived except the tail boom, skids and blades. The heli gods were with be cause it should have been a complete loss.

Nothing really new.

The more you fly, the better you get. I just added up my flights for 2009. I had 435 which for me was a lot of flying. (In 2008 I had just under 100 flights for the whole year) Keep in mind I only fly about 8 months out of the year due to extreme cold and snow

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Been flying for 2 years exactly.

For the past year I reduced mechanical failure related crashes to 1. ESC cut off on me and I was too low to recover. My first year I had dozens of mechanical failures. Only 5 crashes for the year.

I added more maneuvers and started developing my own flying style. I went nitro. I became a rep for Hirobo. Got married... life is good

Happy new year everyone

I learned that I can have just as much fun flying a cheap 450 clone with cheap servos and gyro as I can with my heli setups which cost well over a grand .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

After a bunch of mishaps this spring I managed to get over 60 flights on my Trex450sa without a c@#$% Dont even like to use the word lol. Nothing fancy just what I call advanced hovering. Might be interested in trading my Trex 600npro tt for electric equivilant.Would be great to find someone local so we could demo for each other. Would have to be with someone on long island or nyc. I did pretty good this year, Learned Flips, rolls, piroflips, rainbows, hurricanes, inverted flying, im now working on piro rainbow and piro tic tocs. Went from having only a Trex 450 to havning a Guai 200, Furion 450, Trex 600e, and Trex 700e.
I've been flying around 1 year, 4 months. Didnt learn much of anything till i bought a Furion 450 6 months ago. That realy helped.
Happy newyear
