I am just about finishing up my Kasama Srimok and Compass Odin. The only 90 size heli I have owned before was a Trex 700. The Srimok and the Odin both weigh in around 8 lbs no fuel. The Trex comes in at almost 2.5lbs heavier (10 lbs 6 ounces). I cannot understand the huge difference in weight. The Srimok and Odin even have much heavier servos 8717HV. Is the 700 really that much of a pig? If anyone who has owned any of these helicopters and can post a weight I would appreciate it.

Just under 10 lbs is normal for the 700N... which is pretty light for a 90.

Your Odin and Srimrok weigh around 8 lbs?? Is that completely ready to fly except fuel? What is the exact weight of each one? I have a few 90s and none of them come anywhere close to that weight.

this is very interesting because the Srimok I have seen upclose felt very heavy. The frames are very solid and therefor added a good bit extra weight IMO not to mention a ton of aluminum parts. I just dont see how it comes in at 8lbs.

Odin and Srimok are nearly the same in bare frame form and It is well known the Odin the one of the lightest, If not the lightest 90. When I picked up the Srimok it felt very heavy too but it isnt. The Srimok Kit completed with no electronics and engine is 4 lbs.

The reason the Srimok weighs more is actually because of the canopy. If both helicopters are naked the Srimok actually weighs less!

That is with fuel and most manufacturers quoted weights are off. I'm sure those specs are from when the Srimok was originally announced. The Srimok was expected to be heavier.

If someone could give me the weight of a completed Trex 700 kit without electronics or motor that would help alot.
