The temps are dropping all day long, woke up to 20, a couple of hours ago it was 16, and now its 13F. This morning the winds gusted to 30mph, and soon thereafter to 51mph! They are still steady at about 20mph at the moment

This morning while we were in bed my wife thought a plow truck went by, I thought so too until we looked out and its sunny and no snow , then later realized it was the wind noise!

Well the light at the end of the tunnel is that I booked my tickets to Jamaica last night, so in a couple of weeks I'll be in shorts and a t-shirt until the end of January

It's 8 and sunny here with extreme winds. Great day for an auto contest. I can't even get my BBQ started, I think the regulator is all frozen up. YES, I BBQ year round.

I thought about it until I let the dogs out this morning, quickly realized not only is it cold, the wind chill and wind speed were ridiculous. Day isn't a total loss though, the Fedex truck dropped off a box of Radikal parts earlier and I've been installing and doing setup since then, almost done now.
Well the light at the end of the tunnel is that I booked my tickets to Jamaica last night, so in a couple of weeks I'll be in shorts and a t-shirt until the end of January
Good, that pretty much guarantees we'll have good weather those two weeks and I'll be able to get some flying in...

I grilled some wings last night...It was up in the 20's though!! Gotta run back into the house so they don't get cold on the way!! No flyin' weather today though. Low 20's and gusty like it seems to be everywhere!!

Flying...

I'm normally pretty hard core...I flew yesterday since it was abalmy 30 degrees and winds of only about 10-15mph....BUT today is just RAW COLD...

10 Degrees and 40+MPH winds are a bit much...even for flybarless

I left them all hanging on the wall at home today...didn't even attempt to bring them...LOL...

Well I'm glad I flew yesterday as it was nice and sunny with no wind to speak of and 5 deg. C. Today the temperature has dropped to about 2 deg. C but gusting winds and pouring rain. I hope Thursday will be better but the forecast isn't looking good!

Not a bad day for flying today in the Chicago area. Cold, but fairly calm and sunny. Still can't wait for mid February though - ORLANDO!

Cold enough for ya?

Temp now at 9F or -12C with the winds steady at 15mph.

Wow, gust now showing 53mph, 2mph faster than when I created this thread earlier today

Oh Canada, please take this "cold blast" back!

I think Doug's bones are going to ache when he sees this...

And turbogti is sitting on his porch in Jamaica in 79 degree weather

My buddy Floop and I will be flying today with the tent and heater. This should be pretty comfortable. Smoke a couple cigars and get in a couple flights. Maybe the last flights of the decade.

Come to Las Vegas

Yesterday we got to 49 around 2pm and 3 mile per hour breeze. Today it is expected to be 53 with calm winds, cloudy but dry.

Wish you were here... don't you?
