I wanted to use my triton jr on an old accu-cycle elite power supply. The triton says it is rated at 11-15vdc. The power supply is rated at 14.5vdc with max 2.5 amps. I was only trying to charge at 1 amp but kept getting a "low input voltage" error when I would plug in the charger. Anyone know why the charger won't work at a low amp setting when the specs say it should work?

Well, setting aside the chance that one component or the other is actually defective, you need somewhere around twice the desired charge rate in power supply output. Thus your charger was probably asking for the upper limits of your power supply from the start.

Have you confirmed what the output of your power supply is when its under load. You got to check it under a load; the voltage sans load may drop off severely with a load if the power supply is defective. Also, did you try hooking your charger to a plain old 12 V battery of known health?

I haven't checked the power supply under a load. Don't really have any way to do it. It is putting out 14.5v. I did try the charger on a battery and it works fine. When I plug the charger in to the power supply it immediately gives me the low voltage error. It doesn't even let me attempt to charge any battery at any rate.
