Stock build with 6S. Have a 520 Gyro and 9254 tail servo.

Cyclic servos for mild 3D? 610, 620, 9452? What is better between the 610 and 620 and why did Align come out with two similar servos?

Came with two pinions, 14 and 15t. Stock motor on 6S, will the 15t work or is it too much?

Where are people putting the ESC, BEC, and BEC LiPo? Pictures would be nice.

There are 4 shims 2 of 2 sizes. No mention of them in the instructions, I assume they are to reduce play in the aileron levers?

Last but not least, any sales still going on anywhere?

The 610 has more torque, the 620 is faster. I would go with the 620s all around, or get the new 650 for the tail. I went back and forth on which to get, but many people told me the 620s have more than enough torque for a 600 machine and to go with speed. I've had them on my Compass 600E for months and really like them. (4 DS 620s)

610- 166.64 torque/ .08 speed
620- 138.87 torque/ .07 speed
650 .048 speed

(above all at 6V)

I have some nice pictures in my gallery of my 600esp if you need ideas!!

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Align tail servos 420,520,620
People run the 620's on cyclic with no problems.I ran the 610's on cyclic and love them.

The 620s aren't really advertised as tail servos now, only the 650.

I ordered 610's thanks.

Question #2 was pinion, I put in the 14t.

No one got or used the shims?

Last was placement of electronics. With the 5000 6S 20C up front (duhhh), the ESC behind the battery mount, the BEC LiPo on the bottom forward close to the motor, the receiver on the top tray, the BEC on the bottom tray, and the gyro on top of the tail drive case I need 250 grams on the main battery to balance the helo. I see no other way to balance other than getting a heavier battery (more C) or a carbon fiber tail boom and that may not be enough. Any other ideas?

Do you have the battery tray extended out to the last whole? remember the canopy is heavy also.

fwiw..

Be careful of the larger tooh count pinion...I experimented with mine quite a bit..Finally went with a 12 t 100 flat setup...Still spiked at 95-98 amps during hard flying, duration 4:30 (it was a GOOD 4:30, though...)
Downside is battery life...I had Evo%%%%%% 20C 4900 packs, smoked them in <15 flights...(yes, I do know how to set 'em up...)
Perhaps the newer 25-35 C packs will take the abuse better...
Personally think 8-12 S is the way to go on big electrics...

John.

Spitfire, what do you mean the battery holder out to the last hole? I did test with the canopy on.

Dr., a 12t? on an ESP with the stock motor?

Well servos and receiver came in and I got the build finished and most of the programing done. It is so nice to have so much space to route servo wires after building 3 250's in a row.

Thanks for all the help, happy new year!

I mean so the battery tray is angled on the hinge at 40 degs or what ever it is instead of flat up against the main fraims, its adjustable.

I did figure it out and the balance is good now thanks. I dont like that the tray just hangs out there, seems like it should have a bottom support for those wild piroettes...
