Ok so I took her out to day and administered a good beating, I am interested to see if anybody has observed the same as me.

I am runnig the century aluminum tail grips and aluminum tail slider, I noticed to get the tail to stop wagging in ff flight, I had to reduce gyro gain on the 611 to 19% however the tail is still real solid at this gain, and the pyro rate is very high.

Then I relised the aluminum setup on the tail gives ahuge amount more pitch on the tail than the stock setting, so much that I only need to use about 3/4 of the tail output shaft slider travel to really pitch the tail blade in both directions, there is a lot more pitch than my vibe 50 or 90 is capable of, So I have figured with the larger 95mm rt tail blades and the huge pitch, the tail has too much mechanical gain, coupled with the fact that the radicall has a 5 to 1 tail ratio, those suckers are spinning 10000 rpm. So I think on this setup the 92 mm blades are a better choice, and run the ball on the tail servo real colse to center.

This way I should be able to crank up the gain on the gyro a little higher.

Besides that the radical flew awsome in hard manovers it seems to prefer 2000+ rpm with the 6.0 gear ratio.

And If your sloppy on the colective managment 12 1/2 degrese positive pitch will really load the head.

The pull start in my opinion is a must, makes it so easy to start, it always starts on the second pull, and it is really easy to pull with the super ezstart. The little zenoha will idle all day if you let it, A nice change from nitro's, that like to load up at idle.

Do you have the optional pull start plate for the radikal? And what pull start are you using, the Hanson EZ pull??

Is yours permanently attached or is it the removeable setup?

I want to get this setup as I'm now borrowing a friends Sullivan to start mine (one I have for the Rappy 50 doesn't have enough ummph to kick over my g20).

Thanks

yes go in further with the ball on the servo arm for sure.on top of large amount of travel and high tail rpm , the lever for the slider has a high ratio, so on mine i run the ball in on the servo arm to give it better resolution.

Century heli rep. To much power is never enough.

I have the zenoha ezstart, the one that uses the pulley with the 2 centrifical dogs on it, and yes I have the century mount kit but I only used half of the kit "1 plate" as a shim so I could permanatly mount the starter, it only adds 4 oz. So now I walk out on the filed put the heli down give it half a pull or 2 if it needs choke and start flying.

Had to purchase a few washers and longer bolts to make it work as the kit is to make it removable, Its an easy 15 min install.

I love this Heli!!!!!!!!!

Hi CnB,

Are you sure you can fit the stock pulley without extending the shaft?
Mine came too short and the engine base plate is in the way.

it only threads on about 21/2 turns and you have to put a apacer on the crank so it tightens down. I used a few of the right size washer frome home depot and tightened it up by hand with green locktite. works perfect.

You aught to try finding some lighter spacers instead of using the whole plate...Very good job
