I am planning a trip to Orlando Disney World this April with my wife and daughter. I check the "Magic Your Way" package in the Walt Disney website, and find that they have a dining package. I plan staying there for a week, and the dining package costs $500 for three that covers two quick service meals and one snack per day per person. If I pay $200 more, then I will get one table meal, one quick service meal and one snack. Is this dining package a good deal? Has anyone here tried it?

Do it!

Rudy,

Wifey and I have been to Disney every year since 1999, trust me, the meal plans are worth it.

Go to downtown Disney and eat at the Hard Rock, or at the Wolfgangs, the $200 is well worth the meals.

Make sure you read the fine print, gratuity is not included, and they do expect it. ASMOF, on large parties, they tack it on the bill and you get to pay it.

It is WELL WORTH the investment.

Which meal package would you recommend?

The basic one (two quick service meals) or, the next level one (one quick service meal + one table service meal)?

Port Orleans and up

Surf the Disney site, there is no Bad place to stay!

Most of the onsite lodging is theme oriented, so pick one she likes.

Make sure you make reservations for you evening meals ahead of time, like a month ahead, makes things much better.

My wife is a master planner of such things and she really enjoys setting the whole thing up.

Works out pretty good.

Port Orleans is kinda nice, but you can go lots more nicer/expensiver.

I hope they work for it then... Do they do a nice job? Being Disney, I would guess so...

My wife and I did the dining package last year. It was worth every cent. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

By the way, the Japanese restaurant in Epcot is fantastic! Expensive too, as each of 2 nights would nights would have been $90+ if we didn't have the dining plan.

We shopped well this past February and got 8 days of eats for $400.
