We took the kids to Alvin and the Chipmunks over the weekend. At the end of the movie the old agent of the 3 was flying a Trex 500 after them. Whats funny is without any problem he was flying it in and out of buildings like a pro giving the impression that anyone can fly a helicopter without any practice. Its funny to see how this hobby is considered a toy and easy.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.

It's a movie about talking chipmunks, and your only issue is that the helicopter in it is too easy to fly?.....get over it.

Well, it wouldn't be very practical to chronicle the years it takes for him to learn to fly like that during a movie about singing rodents. Wouldn't be fun to watch either. The reality is that the process of learning to fly is almost as fun to watch as paint drying or watching someone play a video game. Just a fact of life. There have been movies with people getting in and flying real helicopters with little or no flight training (Live Free Or Die Hard comes to mind) but most people recognize it is probably harder than it looks. Most people I mention this hobby to ask "Isn't it really hard to do?" Some think it's easy until I explain it to them.

True indeed. just a kid flick for sure. It was funny how he ran into a toy store and came out with a rc helicopter and was flying it as if it were a rc car.

Got to have my cup of heli in the morning.
