Do you have a manual?Because it explains alot, also raptor technique basically tells you everything you need to know about anything on the raptor, pitch and throttle curves are explained there.
I'm not trying to deter you from this site or anything like that but in all your posts are basic questions that can be answered by the manual, and in more depth on raptortechnique.com
Your throttle and pitch curves could be slightly different then someone elses due to different motor's(power to drag ratio),also watching a video does'nt really show the pitch and throttle curve working(just the servo movement)I think you have the servos moving in the right directions(if that was your question)but thats all the video shows me..take it out in a feild somewhere and hover it....get it off the ground and adjust your pitch and throttle there...(after your on the ground).Do you fly 3d?If not, the basic pitch curve(0-25-50-75-100)throttle(0-25-50-75-100) will be fine to start with....you don't need +/-11 degrees of pitch if you don't fly 3d(my opinion)It's been my experience that you can run the raptor with basic settings and parts(I was like you when I first got into this hobby and bought all the bling(not worth it)and bought into having the best settings(usually following what others have done....like pros)and in the end realized one thing....."don't believe the hype" Basic is best for starters...as long as you can fly it,you can always go from there and get redline engines and other thingy's that improve performance.Bottom line a stock raptor will fly just as good to start, and maybe lessen the tears after a crash, which will likely happen once in a while.
(And your videos of you in your backyard are scaring the hell out of me considering you are in such close quarters...I'm always watching, waiting for radio failure, and that is'nt nice....ask me how I know).you have a nice looking heli there..fix your landing skid so it stands straight up(it bothers me..lol)you may have to use CA glue if those fancy landing gear did'nt come with set screws.
Just my 2 Canadian cents.....which probablly is'nt worth one American LOL

Dont use the Manual when referring to the collective servo and linkage it is wrong.

there is only one way I found to get full 3D flight collective out of the R30. Without binding the servo or getting on the backside of the servo arc actually loosing pitch at the maximum collective.

You have to take the servo out flip it over (the collective servo) so the servo wheel is in the front of the heli. Then you can use the linkage on the innermost hole of the collective heli tray and run the servo arm to the back of the servo.

No Really I am the club President!!!

That is exactly how he has it in the video at the top of the post, with the servo output shaft forward.

thank you for your advice guys
glad you see a problem with my skids ill have to take a look i never noticed a problem.

and in my backyard i can check minor things when i go to the field
most of the guys just want to fly their helis , althought their is always someone their willing to lend a few minutes.

i preffer learning from experience like everyone else.

once a person has upgraded or modified a heli i have learned that the only way everything and every problem can be fixed or checked id think the heli would have to be rebuilt by the professional because
its almost impossible to know every nut and bolt that i have removed or replaced.

if you watch my vids you will see many rr member have pointed out many things to me that the guys at the field even missed.

and i encorage any other new pilot to get video help just like i did
since i have not found a hobbyt shop i can trust and i dont know much about how much the guys at the fields really know since i have had good and bad help at the fields

nothing personal but must guys over 55 worry to much about
someone elses problem rather then just lend a hand they have to tell you about bling parts etc , but like i have tried to tell folks
i got and still get my metal parts for less then stock parts.

i built this bird my self and to me i feel like i have a runryder
forum built bird ,awesome

and 3d ? its time i know i can do it just have to fly for a bit more
so i can feel more comfortable so i can get over the fear , so i need
to know how to setup normal and 3d curves and dont see why i would have to wait to learn 3d curves.

but got my curves together everything looks good to me and the folks at runryder and its on to the field so someone else can give it a once over and then we will be airborn so stay tuned.

and happy new year and thanks for your comments hopefully other people are learning from us like i have learned from all of our post

keep umm coming and like my mentor use to say, just huck that sucka lol

the problem I noticed with the skid was on the right side(looking from the back)looks like the skid is loose and flips side to side....no big deal, just a minor detail.(unless its fixed now,but I noticed this in other pictures somewhere too)
THe clicking you hear from the belt could be the pin in the tail pulley assembly,it has a set screw in the end of the tail shaft that holds the pin inside the pulley, without the set screw that pin will come out......I was changing my tail boom over to a carbon one last night(so I can fly in the cold, here in Canada)and noticed the previous owner overlooked this and forgot to put it in.....my pulley pin was coming out and would have cause a clicking sound if I had ran it up,although like others said it could be just your belt tension too.
I'm all for learning from experience....hell thats the way I learned, but I also learned that it is best to be in an open area when testing, especially when your new.Like in your video, you were telling your friend how you had the switch turned in idle up and some guy came and pulled the fuel line for you.....luckily he was around and all you did was burn your clutch.I was'nt so fortunate.
Anyway have fun and do what you want, glad to hear your enjoying the hobby becasue thats what its for.....to have fun

hey thanks , the problem was the belt was not tight , so that made the
maingear and pinion gear make the clicking sound , but i will recheck
the tail thingy you mention, and see the vids gives me more time to make sure everything is best as i can get it before i go to the field.

their are more professionals right here and i consider you one of them ,and here you have alot better attidudes then some of the guys in the field
thanks for the advice , i just checked the skids ill take a picture
so you can double check it for me if you dont mind.
