I just got the Phoenix today with the bundled DX5e transmitter. I'm really disappointed in this DX5e. There isn't a switch for Throttle Hold or Idle-up/Stunt modes. Might be ok for airplanes, but not for helios.

Also, the plug is on the left side and gets in the way of your hand. Why they put it there,,,,,I have no idea. Terrible engineering if you ask me.

So, unless I'm missing something, don't get the transmitter with Phoenix if you're mainly going to fly helios. I now plan to just use mine for my BNF indoor helios. At least it does feel more like a full size transmitter than what came with my MCX.

I think the Phoenix is MUCH easier to use than RF if you're going to use your own TX. RF is a real pain to get programmed for a real TX'r.

Too early to tell on which Sim I'm going to like better. Only flew for an hour or so today and I'm still discovering how Phoenix works. But I really like the idea of using the same TX'r as my real ones.
