Your bolts should not come loose if you follow this procedure.

Remove your bolts, clean the threads with a solvent like PrepSol or Bug & Tar remover.

Apply blue locktite to the threads and then re-assemble.

A lot of the time the bolts have oil on them which prevents the locktite from working as it should.

See how you go.

What ive learned is that these are racing engines ,if u dont fly in idle up all the time leave it there.

There not smooth engines , but the performance is very good , for my needs there perfect much more torque than the OS 55 I had .

Is anyone else having trouble with the 4 rubber dampeners? I have to replace them very often. They just fall apart.

I don't know what I am doing wrong with the grommets. I have gone through 2 sets of the stock ones, and 2 packs of hatori. I get about 10 flights till they are spit and falling off.

Lesson: Dont take it apart if it is running great.

I got one set from newenglandheli and one from helidirect. Anyone that caries Hatori parts should have them.

The problems with the Grommets are likely being caused by the ends of your muffler bolts rubbing on the Cooling shroud or similiar. (trex 600 and Velocity both need the shrouds trimmed) Once I eliminated this the Grommets have been a non issue.

Initially I struggled to get this motor tuned to my liking as I treated it as another Hyper 50.

Getting Power is easy in a staight Climb but you need use low needle to get a quick throttle response in the Midrange. Unlike a Hyper just open the throttle barrel till it idles (close to 1/4 open BTW)

As For Plugs..OS8 Works for me, and combined with the Outrage 57 Muffler It excells.
