Hey Rob,

Good to hear you two are still flying.

Ollie and I are still flying. We're mostly at an AMA field up in Saugerties. If you're going to be in the area, feel free to drop a line 9one4-4six6-369three and maybe come do some flying as a guest. Al's a member up there flying the big gas planes as well.

Hi Guys!
I am still active in RC, although helis are not my thing. My main club is not heli friendly, but has a GREAT field near the Wallkill prison for fixed wing. The SOURS club is still active, flying at the landfill on Lake Osirus rd near ed's farm. I am a member here also and we could use a few new members. This club IS heli friendly of anyone is interested.

Spring is right around the corner
Once the weather gets good we will be flying helis and smaller planes at my place in Montgomery. Anyone interested in doing some flying let me know.

This thread is a ghost town. Kind of sad. This was the busiest club thread on RR for a long time. We need some new blood.

Blast from the past!
Hey everybody! It's Rick. After all of this time I get a notification. Is the line going to resurrect?

FYI, I am still active in the hobby. I fly with Mid Hudson RC Society, Mid Hudson Modelmasters, the SOURS and a small unofficial group that has been meeting at the New Paltz HS for like 30 years every Sunday morning. Of all of those clubs, the most heli friendly hands down is the SOURS. SOURS still has the landfill on Lake Osirus road, which we named the "Freedom Field." We are actively improving the Freedom Field and it is in regular use, although I don't get there that often. We have heli pilots as well as quad flyers and have mowed a drone racing course off to the side of our main runway so drone racers can do their thing while fixed wing pilots do theirs. If anyone is interested, SOURS meetings are generally the first Wednesday of the month at one of our flying fields in nice weather or at the New Windsor Fire house on Walsh Ave at 6:30 pm.

Hope all are doing OK!
