Has anyone seen the safety notice from ripoffmax regarding the use of the os 55hz ys 56s?

It concerns the required upgrades.

9 kilograms?

I have questions:

The Ripmax notice said "Pitch up servos should have more than 9kg of torque."

The MRC site says "Pitch up (collective or CCPM) servos should have more than 9kg torque."

I understood it better without the parenthesis remark. It made more sense to me to say: "Pitch up servos should have more than 9kg of torque." Meaning, pitch up servos on the Hirobo Pitch-Up Mode (HPM) SDX's should have 9 kg torque.

In other words, just the one collective servo.

But why the "(collective or CCPM)" addition? Are we certain that SWM requires these servos?

With CCPM, you have Aileron, Elevator, and Pitch servos on channels 1,2,and 6. If I were to read this as written, I could conclude that the only the "pitch" channel 6 servo should have 9 kg torque. This makes no sense. What about channels 1 and 2?

Maybe then I instead conclude that we've decided to start calling all servos to the swashplate "pitch up" servos. But this also makes no sense. I need 27kg to lift the swashplate? How could the HPM even fly then?

Aaron,
You are correct. I made the Mistake. I will be sure to make the edit. Thanks for pointing that out.

I think I may have confused myself with my post.

So I'm certain what you just affirmed,

The 9kg requirement is for the collective servo only on the HPM SDX and only when running big bore engines. Right?

I would not say so. You would like a nice servo for the HPM version even if you are only running a Hyper. Keep in mind this is only a suggestion, you want to run a 9kg servo if you are intending to really throw your helicopter around.
