Has anyone fond a sutible delrin main gear,
or retrofitted a diffrent gear to fit ?

I am pondering on getting a few gears made up if not...
im guessing they will be beween 60-70 bucks...

I know there not needed,
the stock gears are smooth....but not delrin smooooooth.

I get 100 to 200 flights out of the stock gears and I fly hard so I have no complaints. Crashes are a fact of life and I would never pay anything near $50 for a gear no matter how good it was. I just don’t think that there would be any market at all for those gears.

for me it's not about holdin up..i know the stock gears are tough enough,
however there not perfectly round and make a fair amount of noise.

so for me it is strictly a noise issue.

I would gladly pay a hundred dollars for a high quality delrin gear

just becouse im anal about my helis and I wont stop untill i get them how I want..

looks like im headed to rowe machine.

Microheli has a 1.0module 115T Delrin gear for the Trex700
and it's only 35 clams.....MINT !!!

all i got to do is machine a new auto hub to fit or modify the stock hub to fit the new gear...

Looks like its time to fire up the old South Bend 6 x 72

The stock main gears run very true it’s the stock pinions that are not so good. I run Century pinions and everything runs smoother and quieter.

Delrin might be nice but I still think that the market for such gears would be close to zero.

I dont care about anyone else buying them,
I want some for my helis..

and about the main gear,
take a look at the inside of the cut not the outside
all 4 of my helis have a true outside cicumfrence
but seems that some teeth are deeper than the others.

like I said above the stock gears work and hold up fine...

(I) want delrin and delrin is what I shal have..
