The pictures posted in this thread are too pretty. Does anyone ever actually fly those machines, or are they just wired, set on the bench, and photographed ??
Denatured Alcohol, Glass Cleaner, Nitro Cleaner, paper towels and a lil elbow grease do wonders

Oh, I forgot. Click the link below to see a short flying video of my keychain cam mounted on the tail. Be sure to click "HQ" to see it in best quality. It takes pretty good video for $11 (well $11 for the cam and $10 for shipping, so $21 total).

Excellent Thread!
Looks like I gotta go back and re-do my wiring! I "Thought" it looked nice and neat till I saw some of the photos posted here...

Anyone else have any photos to post?
Any yes I do fly/crash mine also...

It has to be that O.C.D. Thing mentioned earlier

I'm not a big fan of crimping anything. I prefer the secureness of solder which is why I have never tried to crimp my own servo plugs. But it sounds like with the proper crimper, it is possible to shorten servo wires professionally? I always figured it would be easier just to take the servo apart and resolder the wire at the correct length, but I have only done this with a few old servos--never anything expensive.

BTW: nice clean looking Trex 700 nitro you've got there, 306.

I prefer to crimp as opposed to solder. Easy, fast, never had one fail yet.

You could always cut the servo wires, shorten them to length and solder them back up and use individual heat shrink tubes on each of the three wires.

60% of the time, it works every time!
