Tuesday fly session WIC?

I flew at the baseball feild just before Prather up old auberry road just before Spearhead. It was a good spot. My friend lives right down the road from there. I also found just behind the firestation in Auberry is a good place as well. Auberry middle school.

It is pretty cold right now and fog seems pretty minimal. I can call Hammer in the morning to give you guys a heads up.

Has anyone flown with a busted baffle in thier pipe? Mine has come apart but have been flying it anyway. It is starting to beat itself up from the inside. Other than a anyoing noise does it really matter? Havent noticed a change in power.

I went to fly at the old Auberry airport years ago, but chickened out. We do have a place off of Academy and Herndon on a friends property. He has a paved runway in his yard and Chip Hyde flys there occasionally when in town. Call Erik as he was looking for your number to setup a time after his service calls. Still looks like after 12:00. We started flying after 2:00 last time and got a few flights in before the temp dropped.

Yes it does. Don't fly it that way. It will effect the performance on your engine and tend to run lean. I burned up my Hyper that way. I left you a message on your cell in regards to borrowing mine. You can have Hammer pick it up for ya because he knows where I live prior to meeting up with you guys. I work today but someone will be here.

Visalia funfly

Hey everyone. I just read that Adam is moving the funfly to a different location.

ATTENTION:EVENT LOCATION HAS MOVED!!!!!!! Hate to do this so close to the event date, but it's a much larger facility with unlimited rv parking, more flying space and only a couple of miles from food and hotels. Also it's actually only about 4 or 5 miles from the home field and much easier to get to off of Hwy 99.We will be setup in a HUUUGE lot on the south side of Mid-Valley Cotton, at 636 w. Cartmill in Tulare. If you exit the 99 at Cartmill and go west about two miles the feild will be to the left on the south side. There is a large gate that will be open with a sign and you will be able to see our R.V.'s and tent from the road.Again I apologize for the short notice but it is going to be a much better situation for the number of people we are expecting this year. Also please spread the word to those you may know who are not as active on the forums and I will spend tonight P.M.ing everyone who has posted.See you all in a few days!!!!!!

Zandro, thank you for letting me use your pipe. I flew my 700 once and decided that visibility was soso. Still got a good flight in and CH47 was able to tach my heli so it all worked out.

I finally found a generator so i'm set for the weekend. I am taking my 5th wheel down so we have a place to hang out and stay warm. It would be very cool to have a good group from Fresno and Clovis show up. Hope some of you can make it.

No problem bud. I do what I can to help my fellow heli flyers. Let me know how you like that Hatori. I'm thinking to get myself the MP6 sometime in the near future just to have.

another good pipe for the OS hyper is the century millennium quiet tuned pipe and their header to go with it. It performed very well for me, before I did my electric conversion

the price is good too, if I remember correctly the pipe and header together was like 69 dollars

Pipe Hatori

Zandro,

You might want to check out A-main Hobbies. They have the Hatori sb17 for the os-ys system for 139.00 and the Ys only pipe for 119.00. They are reg 199.00 but are having a sale. They have a 2 year warranty. I have asked around and have heard nothing but good things. I'm sure it will make good power. I will let you know how it works for me. Thanks.

I got rid of my nitro setup and went electric. For a pod and boom I think nitro is the way, but for scale I think electric is better. way too many problems to deal with then the whole helicopter is sealed up inside a scale fuse

Visalia FF

What day is everyone going at FunFly this weekend? I'm trying to shuffle my schedule around. Currently not sure if I can make it at the moment because I still have to make small repairs on my heli and some adjustment changes. If anything, I'll come and watch for a couple of hours and meet everyone.

Hello every one. Having a great time down here in Visalia. I spoke with Paul and he will be here tomorrow. I am right camping next to some Pro pilots and let me say you guys are missing out. These guys are really putting on a show.

Zandro, you really should come. Talk Erik and who ever else you can as well. I have beverages, BBQ, Generator, music, ect... I parked on the east end of the event. There is plenty of room in between my rig and the flight line to park.

Hope you guys can make it!

Marc,

That sounds like allot of fun. I'm looking forward to seeing the new site. Got my 700 fixed but caught something serious over night. I still plan on going but more and likely just for a couple of hours unless I start feeling better than what I'm feeling now. 'Hammer'.. I was going to call ya, but didn't want to make arrangements earlier do to my condition and I'm currently still not sure at the moment. Hope to see everyone there.

Zandro, Thats horrible. Get some rest I hope you feel better. I broke the main shaft in my 650L motor today but everything is still in one piece. There are a great bunch of very cool people here. I will definetly go to more of these.

New to Heli's in Fresno/Clovis area

Hello everyone,

I'm new to flying helicopters and recently found this site. I have a Honey Bee cp2 that I have been flying in our church gym with a little success. Is there a best place where people meet so I can get some flying tips and see some others flying their helicopters? I live right next to the WIC site, but whenever I have stopped by its always been planes, not helicopters.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Jeran

hey welcome. I'm sure anyone will help you if you meet them out there. I would for sure. I live over by palm/shaw and I've been flying at Wawona school. But I do sometimes go out to the WIC site.
